A cross-party council debate was held at York Council offices yesterday (18th May 2016) to discuss the Council's proposals to cut bus subsidies across the city by £350,000. The debate, which was open to the public, was attended by representatives from the York Bus Forum working group. The York Bus Forum held a rally in Parliament Street last Saturday (14/05/16). They were lobbying the City of York Council "Bus Surgery" to say "NO BUS CUTS!". In addition, members of York Bus Forum lobbied the Council over specific routes, particularly routes 10 and 20. |
